The church salary survey of NACBA
The NACBA’S salary survey got its start more than 30 years ago when a group of members were exchanging information on employee compensation. It didn’t take long to realize the need to compile this data into an official salary survey and make it available to churches across the country – for both the benefit of individual church administrators and the advancement of the profession as a whole.
Today, the survey contains data for more than 60 ministry job titles, including part-time positions, from churches representing a wide range of locations, denominations, budgets and membership sizes. To provide the most up-to-date and reliable information available, the survey uses web-based software that drops old data and immediately updates data in the system as church leaders submit or revise compensation statistics for their employees, which can be done at any time. Participation is a key component of any survey. To create the most comprehensive source of ministry pay data, the NACBA makes it easy, convenient and beneficial for any church to participate.
